Pedigree Dogs Exposed Full Movie
Very few issues divide dog lovers as much as the question of whether or not breeding is something that should be done. On one hand you have the so called pure breed enthusiasts who would not even consider anything other than a pedigree dog. On the other hand you have people screaming and yelling to stop all breeding altogether. Both positions are equally wrong. There was a time when breeding dogs was not about looks but about talent. Man needed dogs that could perform a certain task better than any other animal on earth. The original philosophy of dog breeding was “form follows function”. That in fact is 100 percent correct. Let’s say you wanted breed a dog with more power then you breed the most powerful males to the most powerful females. If you keep doing this then inevitably the dogs will start to look more and more muscular… “Form follows function”. When doggie beauty pageants became all the rage the opposite philosophy reared it’s ugly head the first time… “Function follows form”. This is, of course, completely ridiculous. People literally sat down and said: “What do we want this breed to look like?” So then they decided to create these ridiculous standards which make no sense to anyone who truly understands dogs. The result was that sheep herding dogs who had been bred previously to be superior herders now could not herd anymore… Guard dogs could not guard anymore and so on… The bulldog is a breed that used to have the ability to hold its own against a 2000 …

Into the wall

This had me sobbing in many places. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see those dogs in pain and to know there is nothing preventing it from happening to many others.
I have personally owned a number of “pure bred” German Shepherds, they have all been bred with the straight “working back” and not the hunched back… to see such a powerful dog struggling simply to walk as those at the show were had me in tears.
How do these breeders sleep at night? Do they care about their dogs at all?
I had a yorkie that would have been a breed reject because he was large and healthy. That dog lived a full 15 years and was the best dog in the world. Healthy as a goddamn horse. Fuck you Kennel Club!
Can you believe that old cunt in 16:25???I feel like pulverizing everything she loves and force feed it to her before I take half a year and all kinds of sick gruesomeness to kill her.
i have a question
my cousin and i have 2 dogs
ive the female
they’re half-siblings
what are the odds of having an ill puppy??
I watched this in college for the course I was doing (Compion Animals), it was horrible ): I mean i knew pedigrees had some issues but I didnt know they were this horrible! and to this extent! ):
As an owner of AKC Yorkshire Terrier I would have to agree about beauty comes before health.My female is considered show quality with bloodline Judabob,but sadly she was diagnosed with luxating patella knees in both rear legs and has collapsing trachea.I made the responsible choice and had her spayed and I’ve never regretted it.
@zer0dahero Advocating everyone to buy pets from shelters is not addressing the problem at hand. While it’s noble to rescue an animal, they’re just as much of a genetic gamble. Nobody knows their ancestry and can even guess as to what types of problems they might have. Where do you think these shelter dogs come from? Bad owners who aren’t spaying/neutering their animals and letting them out to breed with whatever comes their way. Do you think these backyard breeders are doing any genetic tests?
I don’t understand why these dog shows don’t make it mandatory that genetic screening is done on every entrant and disqualify the ones carrying serious genetic issues. After all, isn’t the point of best in show to ultimately breed from the winner? I am not against show breeding, as long as it is done for the benefit of the animal, and the desirable cosmetic traits don’t interfere with its health.
@zer0dahero
Ok so let me get this straight. You come here and start a conversation by throwing out a blanket statement. Then I actually give you time out of my day to respond to you. Then you don’t like the answer and therefore you feel it is OK to become rude? I can tell you don’t know how to deal with someone actually paying attention to you. Nor are you able to accept a point of view other than yours. That is quite the personality cocktail… Judgemental, rude and intolerant. Congratulations
@MandyLionWWIII you talk too much.
@zer0dahero
Here is some food for thought.
Would you suggest that since we have so many starving children in this world today we all stop having our own and adopt? Should we make parents feel bad because they chose to make a baby even though there are millions dying of starvation right at this moment?
I applaud people who decide to adopt rather than have their own children. I also applaud people who adopt dogs from shelters. But I will never “guilt” people into a short sighted mentality.
@zer0dahero
Most people make blanket statements in order to feel holier than thou but I the only way we do justice to any given problem is to attack it intelligently on an individual basis.
This documentary shows bad practices but it is not a witch hunt against breeders who are doing it the right way.
ALL dogs have a right to life. The ones in the shelters as well as the ones being born at a breeder right now. It is easy to say the “politically correct” thing bit it is hard to judge wisely.
@zer0dahero
I am not disagreeing with saving an animal of course. What I am suggesting is that instead of throwing out a blanket judgement let’s be more intelligent about the subject. Think about this…
Why do most dogs end up in shelters? Because the silly owner wasn’t happy with the dog for whatever reason. Breeding allows us to create dogs with certain looks, behaviors, sizes and temperaments. The closer the dog is to the person’s ideal of a pet the more likely a happy ending becomes.
@MandyLionWWIII Yeah, like I said. Its best to go to a shelter. My local shelters are over flowing with dogs and cats, most will be put down. A real responsible animal lover will save one or two of those than to pay several hundreds or even thousands for a pure breed. I was in West Palm Beach last week and saw a Yorky in a store for $1500. Thats insane when so many other little dogs die at the pounds and shelters. But its just an opinion that a lot of people disagree with. Oh well.
@zer0dahero
I posted this movie to let people know about bad breeding practices but to categorically say that ALL breeding is bad is like throwing out the baby with the bath water.
Responsible breeding is what we need to strive for. Demonizing all breeding creates just another problem altogether and does not solve the one we are trying to fix. We need to demand a change in breed standards to where the standard DEMANDS healthy dogs. That is what we need to address if we want to see a change.
IF you buy a pure breed, you are contributing to the madness. Every single pet I’ve even had has come from a shelter and have been healthy and very low maintenance.
I adopted an english bulldog recently, and it’s kinda turned into a nightmare.
The wee thing just cannot breath at all when he “sleeps”, or what passes for sleep when your constantly being strangled. But the idiot I bought him off was proud to tell me that he had no such problems…
Now, I am dirt-poor, and it’s going to take me months to save up for the really expensive operation to fix him, so until then he’ll be suffering and I’ll be hurting a fair bit at his misery
Fuck this stupid shit
Inbreeders are IDIOTS. from what I’ve read so far…ol’ pastry head is inbred so badly the family tree has been straight for the last 100 generations.
@cherrytoasterpastry
And finally… Every time some cold hearted football fan gets confronted with the reality of carrying some kind of guilt they throw the food industry in the mix.
Look… If you don’t see the difference between a house wife feeding her kids with eggs and bacon and a mentally ill thug watching animals fight to the death for shits and giggles then you are not that far removed from Michael Vick on the insanity scale. He beat to death, drowned and lynched dogs for FUN. Get it?
@cherrytoasterpastry
Either that or you are truly slow… In any case… I am not going to watch and support a machine which supports murdering turds like Michael Vick. Every mass murderer in history started out killing animals before moving on to the “bigger thrill” of killing humans. I sleep well knowing that I am not being a part of this tragedy. I know that the average American loves dogs… Unfortunately they don’t love dogs as much as watching a bunch of sweaty criminals tackle each other
@cherrytoasterpastry
But as long as we make a silly football game more important than the suffering and deaths of many hundreds of dogs WE ARE CONTRIBUTING to feeding a machine that feeds Michael Vick.
I am sorry you don’t understand “cause and effect”. If all you understand is what is one inch from your nose then you will never grasp the journey.
My guess is that you are totally understanding the concept but don’t care about animals being abused enough to give up your precious football game.
@cherrytoasterpastry
If we stop watching ALL football games (not just the ones with the dog murderer) then the ratings drop. That in turn will cause the sponsors to tell the NFL to get rid of the murderer or they are not going to pump millions into a machine that does not get them enough exposure for their products. I PROMISE you that as soon as money starts slowing down Michael Vick is flipping burgers in no time.
@cherrytoasterpastry
If you don’t understand the logic then I will try to explain. Many people have asked what could be done to get rid of the skitmark on the world’s underpants called Michael Vick. The answer is simple… When you watch football you contribute to ratings. Ratings are what causes sponsors to pump ungodly amounts of money into the NFL. If we all decided that we didn’t want a dog killing fiend to be a role model to our kids then here is what we could do…
If it’s parents are Rhodies then indeed, ridge or not, it is a Rhodie!!! This just taking looks to a whole nother level. I thought beauty pagents and modeling was bad enough…gezz!
I would rather the puppy be put down under my care than in the hands of The Fighting People (wtf is that) which is appauling.” I cannot believe what I just heard, she has truly convinced herself that this is not wrong. If you do not want the puppy to be bred because it has no ridge JUST GET IT FIXED. Most people nowadays could care less about it looking like a show dog than just having one from healthy parents (if they are even educated enough themselves).
who put that wall there!?
ha nie mehr schuften bin so reich

@FROZYO Ni im just sating when i first saw this it was at school during the rachels challange thing. I made it pretty clear.
i feel so bad for this dog
@superflyingpony Yes, I know that! It’s just that I can’t make myself to write his name right because that little shit doesn’t deserve it! Beaver is a more appropriate name for an annoying little retard like him. And you’re right, his first name should be “Justine” as you wrote haha LOL xD. So his/her full name really should be “Justine Beaver” haha xD
@Playster3 hes name is justine bieber stupid
The dog has a boner at 0.24, dreamed about fucking right
he/she should have really bad nightmare O_O
собака убегака
Showed my mom (a nurse) and she said it looks like a seizure. What do I know.. Hope Bizkit is OK. My dog is doing real good on Potassium Bromide (not sure of the spelling). Phenobarb kinda messed with her liver, but she’s off that now. Good luck!
@Playster3 listing 2 justin bieber it makes your brain melt IF you dont die 1st wich is highly unlikley!
Is it confirmed whether the dog is having a seizure or not? I really don’t think so. When my dog gets seizures, she gets real stiff, falls to the floor, and shakes. She doesn’t run around. And she foams at the mouth and pisses/poops herself. And afterwards she definitely doesn’t jump up. It really doesn’t look like the same thing, but I guess there could be other kinds of seizures. Just looks like a sleepwalking dog to me…
hey any of u guys/gals know which episode of rwj had this clip in it? i cant seem to find it but i remember seeing it.
awww poor puppy but so cute
An internet classic, always makes my day. Love how he just stands there like “what just happened, I, I could’ve sworn I was just running in a field.”
God that dog is possessed!
Dog is having a seizure. He’s probably dead by now from something the owner didn’t have looked at, because he was too busy making fun of his dog in the interwebz.
This isn’t funny.
