Wonderful Venus is waiting for you. This German shepherd mix has quite a fan club among the dogwalkers at THS and no wonder: at seven years young, she’s beautiful, affectionate, and playful, plus she has the best obedience skills on the block, sitting and heeling like a pro. Venus grew up in unstable, insecure circumstances, which, understandably, has made her anxious around some strangers and dogs. However, she has been working hard to become more confident, attending outside training classes with one of our volunteers (her biggest fan!), as well as getting help from THS staff. She’s making great progress, and will do even better when she goes home with a companion who will give her loving leadership 24/7. Venus lives in a quieter part of the shelter so just ask Shas, our canine specialist, for a meet-and-greet with this special girl. If it’s a match, she will come, sit, and stay with you forever!
