A Good Samaritan who tried to intervene in a fight on a transit bus in Surrey overnight ended up getting stabbed in the chest Two women and a man were arguing on the bus that was travelling on 72nd Avenue near 128th Street. RCMP Inspector Dan Splinter says things escalated when a young man tried to separate them. “An 18-year-old male intervened in an altercation on a public transit bus and was stabbed in the chest by a male who fled on foot and is still at large. The victim is in extremely serious condition and is in surgery.” “A friend of the primary victim then intervened by striking the suspect with a baton and then the secondary victim received a minor cut. The suspect male received an injury from the baton strikes.” The suspect and his female friend ran away down the street. A police dog was brought in but failed to track them down.
