6.17 oh and.. DON’T TURN YOUR BACK!! and if you are actually being attacked and have no choice you have to hold the dog down by its throat and get it down on the ground till it sees the error of its actions. Men in packs are the worst. I mean dogs.
that wasn’t what I was hoping to see
i was once attacked by a dog,,,i was slapped by an ex girlfriend,,lol
I was attacked by a dog when I was 10…walking home from school it was in my driveway…it ran towards me I thought it was just excited but it attacked me, scary feeling when it happens
Anyone else think that guy got a little pale when the other guy explained how powerful those dogs are? LOL.
It always amazes me how amazed some people are when a dog that is lighter than them starts to drag them around.
Why did he run directly into the fence?
I HAVE A GOOD IDEA, EVERYONE EMAIL BBC FOR THE COMEBACK OF 999!
Sorry. This is a phony-baloney demonstration. Those dogs have had bite training (obviously). The know a bite suit when they see one, and they know “helper” behavior when they see it (wagging the schlagstock, etc).
I’ve worked around aggressive dogs quite a bit. I’ve stopped aggression by acting HAPPY when dogs acted aggressively. Dogs are WELL AWARE of human social norms. If humans act like everything is truly OK and normal, then dogs agree. Of course, you have to be a GOOD actor!
everyone knows all you have to do is show the dog a card trick
i was told if a dog attacks, you kick it or punch it in the nose
my neighbor had a dog me and my cousin were palying b-ball in my yrd.. the dog come in our yard we ran and when i got in the house with my cousin my foot bleeding…
boot the crap out of the dog
ahaha micheal burke sik man fittting voice for the presenting:D any 1 got any old 999 clips let me know storm x
i think the best thing to do if a dog attacks you, is get a stick and beat the shit out of it or put yourself with your torso facing towars the dog and your hands almost touching the floor, oh and making pissed off noises.
Ok i have just learned something
This is good- here in Texas every one who walks carries a stick, bat or golf club to chase off “latch key” dogs.
I walk the kids to school and had to chase off a small pit bull- he came running and I opened my stick over arm with a scream. Dog backed off.
Most dogs are just barkers, thank God, but if one does attack I’m aiming to take the legs out since the necks protected by muscle.
People who let their dogs roam unsupervised should go to jail.
I was attacked by a dog when I was a child. Now I have my owndog is cool.
i want this back on tv
i think everyone born on the 90s does
Thanks for this upload! I’ve been searching for old episodes of 999 for ages and have had no luck. This program scared the hell out of me as a kid and I loved it for that lol!
i miss this program
They also have course like that for service dogs too.

@mamajean11 There is not 1 single order for the signs. There are a lot of other commands that are used in a Rally course, but a lot of them are not ones that we teach guide dog puppies. I used a lot of changing direction signs to help Ricki not to pull ahead. By changing direction often she had to pay attention to me to know where we were going. You can google akc rally to find printable signs. Let me know if you have any more questions.
I’m a first time puppy raiser. Could you give me more information on the course commands you set up. I see there is sit, down, weave, left turn, sit and walk around her, 180 & 225 degree turn. Is there a set order of these commands, What other commands are in the course?
@GuideDogManiac Yeah, i guess it would be harder, but you know with Eli and Ricki as examples, maybe they would do even better, anyway good luck to you, and Ricki, i’m sure she will graduate! =^_^=
@mistytinker13 puppy raising has really become a lifestyle for us, we don’t have plans to stop at this point. Hopefully Ricki will graduate, we might be tempted to keep her if she doesn’t and that makes raising more puppies a little more complicated.
Hi, your doing a great job with ricki she is awesome, do you think you will always raise pups now, i don’t think i would ever be able to stop ^^
more obedience training please!
more obedience training!
more obedience training!
@HannahBanana559 I will be sure to pass the message along
OHMYGOSH I WENT TO Camp WITH Alana. She was a cit for junior blind camp! Can you tell her if possible that Hannah( i bet she probably not remembers me though but tell her it was the girl who was obsessed with Marley) can you please tell her that I got a guide dog puppy and her name is Haiti. and congrats on her puppy
I really like the obedience training video’s.
@GuideDogManiac that’s awesome!! thanks for answering my question! ^-^
@lenaslife She has a command “Do your business”. She is only allowed to go when she is given the command when she is on a leash. Also if we are out working I remove her green jacket first which is also an indication that she is allowed to go. She really has this figured out
I love the series!! I was just wondering, how do you indicate to Ricki that you’ve chosen a place for her to go to the bathroom??
@HesterMcLester If Ricki goes to college when it is warm, she could possibly get to have pool parties. At school on hot days they do bring out the kiddie pools for the dogs to play in. They love it!
LOVE the theme music. Very spacey. Also, do you think Rick will get into a lot of trouble at pool parties when she goes to college?
what if you dont want to put the dog in a crate
Dogs are like children. We have brought all our dogs up the same. My dad is from a rough area and therefore has a strict way with discipline. This has been great for me and my brother but also for our labradors. Our current lab is not given as tough a time as she is just a big softie and a bit of a nervous dog but all you need is patience and a strict voice and good rules like not allowed up on bed, couch etc. A dog needs to know its place and know its a dog as well as being a well loved pet
@TomboysTv I try to make sure that Ricki keeps all 4 paws on the ground when she greats people. When puppies are little you can hold their collar so they can’t jump on people. Also if they try to jump, we don’t allow them to get attention from the person they tried to jump on, we walk just walk away. They get the idea pretty quickly usually.
@UncleRonski does that mean we need to come back down to so. cal. ?
great show amie and chappy i need my ricki fix…………..lol
How do you train a dog not to jump on people?
