Watching this video make me realise that I have not work this trick with Xiao xiao for a long time.
@GodZiLRAah watch my latest video- how to teach your dog to fetch weird objects, and then just work with bigger objects to be safe- perhaps you could teach your dog to retrieve a fork to a plate? as a challenge?
Im afraid my dog will eat the coin
That is really nice. You always have great videos. I’ll have to try it again with my chihuahua. She did it, but the sound of the coin hitting the glass scared her and she wouldn’t do it again. I’ll try putting something soft in the bottom of the glass.
Tug is the cutest, scruffiest dog I’ve ever seen <3 Great trick. I’ll definitely want to teach my dog this sometime once I get a dog!
@GlitterChix21 have u seen the rest of her videos? snes one of the best trainers ive seen. i think she has control and im sure she cares very much about her dogs.
@akfouronesix I am dyslexic, I avoid spelling certain words, which I usually get slammed for not spelling correctly. So I either shorten them or try to use a different word in it’s place.
@kikopup Just spell it out, “definitely”.
Thanks for sharing! Tug is still way too cute, love how he nudged the cup after he droped the coin on the floor, his brain was trying to make a connection.
Coooool! I’ve been meaning to teach this trick!!! Thanks for the AWESOME tutorial ; }
Nice !!! Fly can already do this trick with a coffee cup and three coins in a row. I taught her slightly differently. She already knew how to drop socks in a bucket so she understood what I wanted straight away when she saw the coins and the big box. So I started with a big box, then a bowl, then a cup. I actually had her drop the coin gradually into a smaller and smaller cup.
@josski32 Dogs don’t usually eat metal- in fact they usually tend not to want to have metal in their mouths, unless they have pica or an eating condition and in that case coins and small objects should never be left within a dogs reach! Watch the next tutorial on how to teach your dog to fetch weird objects, if you worry that your dog doesnt understand the concept of picking up and retrieving articles
@GlitterChix21 Def people who have dogs who eat coins and rocks should not do the trick as it involves having coins on the ground. But dogs mouths are like our hands, they can do delicate and precise movements with their mouths, and all the dogs are using their incisors and tongues to manipulate the coin, as you will see in the piggy bank trick. Def though, don’t do this trick with a dog that has pica or eats metal or stones! But I think that is common sense.
I played Quarters with my ole girl friend but I forget how it ended
My dogs would eat the coin. No ifs, they would.. sigh but cool trick!
That black and white dog looks exactly like my dog!!
Far too worried about a dog choking on or swallowing the coin. Why not just make it safe with a toy and a bowl/bucket? Don’t like “fancy” tricks just because they look fancy.
How do u make sure puppy doesn’t eat the coin??? I would be afriad they would get it lodged in their throat, especially for tug and kiko!
Very smart dogs BUT I am not sure this game is good for all dogs.
Some may swallow the coin. ???????
Kim
They are all so cute, love the angle you filmed it from
I’d be scared my dog would eat the coin…
