Shakti’s Amazing Dog Tricks – Intermediate Level
Shakti, CGC, Intermediate Trick Dog is presenting some intermediate dog tricks: wave, moonwalk, carry my purse, food refusal, leg weave, balance and catch, paws on my arm, teeter-totter, which hand holds the treat?, under/over, fetch my slippers, hide and seek, rollover, sit pretty/beg, head down, jump through my arms, mail carrier, newspaper delivery, jumping through paper covered hoop. This is Shakti’s 2nd Trick movie. Shakti was awarded the Intermediate Trick Dog Title by the Trick Dog Trainers Association and Kyra Sundance.

Question by Vivita: What is the difference between a basic obedience class and an intermediate class for dogs?
My dog comes when he’s called and knows sit and stay. He walks “OK” on a lead, he’s not out of control but he’s not great either. My biggest problem is how he behaves with distractions, he lunges at other dogs when on the leash and barks at people. Also, if he ever gets off the leash and out of our home, he will not come when called and I will have to chase him all over the neighborhood.
I’m looking into obedience classes for him and would like to know which would be better for him, a “basic” obedience class or an intermediate? I’m a little hesitant to go to a basic class because I’m afraid it will just go over some of the stuff he already knows. Advice, please! 
Kelli L- I thought it was clear, he comes when he’s called, when he’s in the home. The few times he’s gotten out of our house without a leash, he does not come even when called.

Intermediate is usually off leash training.
