I’m currently training my 60 lb female Poodle flyball, and have successfully gotten her to jump over the hurdles on her own. However, I’m experiencing great difficulties teaching her to step on the box. She’s over her fear stage and will approach it without much hesitation, but she is failing to understand that she needs to step on it in order to release the tennis ball. I have tried teaching her the “touch command”, but this has proven ineffective.
Are there any other methods I could try? She’s enjoying jumping, and I really would love to get involved with a team. I appreciate the help!
