That guide is for people in the UK so you’d have to work out what the equivalent is for some stuff such as any academic qualifications you may need like GCSEs and check to see whether those apply to guide dog training careers where you are. But some stuff I’m sure would apply pretty much anywhere – having to legally be an adult, have a full clean driving license and have prior experience with dogs.
If you know your local 4-H group, they can tell you. When i was in 4-H my pal raised & worked with a guide dog. The hardest part is having to give the dog up in the end, however you will be helping someone who needs it.
Most guide dog schools require a college degree in something like animal behavior or psychology. Then there’s an apprenticeship, usually lasting about 3 years.
Here’s some information from the Seeing Eye, including contact info. I’ve found them pretty nice to correspond with in the past.

Puppy raisers, such as those that participate in the 4-H program, aren’t required to have any particular education. They also aren’t technically guide dog trainers. Their job is to raise a well socialized dog with basic manners and obedience, which is what we’d hope all dog owners would strive for. The actual training of how to guide a blind person is done by the professional trainers back at the school’s headquarters when the pups are returned for formal training.
