My pup learned off my older dog how not to go to the toilet inside.
I taught my older one by letting her out about 10 Min’s after eating, if she went to the toilet even just a wee I said ‘OH what a good girl’ and shes a good girl yes hes is going wee wee outside’ and then gave her lots of cuddles, it took a while and now I just have to say do you want a wee and she is at the back door! Just remember that you have to always take your pup out either in the front or the back you choose but keep it the same : )
Oh and I dont agree with crating a dog to teach it not to wee.

only thing i would do different is to have a command. start off saying outside or potty as soon as you walk out the door. whatever it is just be consistent. once your dog begins to associate this command with going to the bathroom or going outside. you can use it as a question. “do you need to go outside?” good luck!
