i have a 4 month old blue pit, when she is done pooping she turns around and starts to eat it. when my other dogs start to poop she starts to eat it when it starts to come out. i know this is nasty but i need help.

Are they hungry? LOL, jk, dogs are always hungry.
They do it because they smell nutrition in it and they are stupid enough to think it’s food. Normally they eat cat poop for that reason, not 100% sure why they’d be eating their own or each others poo
My dogs do it too, it’s so nasty. My yorkie is always sniffing and licking at my bichon/poms booty when she’s pooping YUUUUCCCKKKkkkk

She may be lacking something in her diet such as potassium.
Feed her bananas and it may help.
My vet told me that adding carrot or orange juice to dog kibble will cause it
to taste really bad when it comes out the other end.
I only did the banana thing and 2 weeks later mine stopped eating poop.

This very bad for the dog, my dog did it a couple of times and then didn’t get back on his feet for a week..
He is probably doing this because his food is too good he has to eat his own shit lmao

Have your vet. run a blood test on her as she is obviously not getting all the nutrients she needs.(general blood test and if normal, a cTLI which tell you how well her pancreas is functioning…digesting) Does she eat inanimate things…this could be a sign of pica. The stools will
tell you alot about how well she is assimilating her food, but do take her to the vet . Pineapple in their food will make there stools taste awful.

What kind of food do you feed her? If she’s eating food that has lots of indigestible fillers (like wheat, corn, soy, etc), she’s pooping out literally 80% or more of what she eats! Buy a kibble that is grain free and contains lots of meat. Good kibbles include Orijen, Acana, Innova Evo, Nature’s Variety, Wellness Core, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, etc. They cost more but you will be feeding half as much as with low quality kibble (so you’re basically paying the same amount), and she will poop half as much, AND she will not eat it.
You can add pineapple or whatever to her food, but that’s not getting to the root of the problem. You should also keep her on leash and prevent her from even considering eating poop, give her a treat for leaving it and pick it up immediately.
feed your dogs pineapple. i know it sounds weird, but it makes their poop taste terrible to them.
i think the question is why are you allowing it ??? the dog might be lacking something in her diet to be doing that … but here is a unique idea, when the dog pinches out the last loaf, have the dog on lead and pull it away with a firm no if she goes for the poop … and why allow her to eat the others … clearly the poop eater needs to be on lead until trained … take it to a vet and make sure there is nothing physically wrong but i would hazard a guess the dog has coprophagia because she is eating other dogs poop too …
This was on animal planet. When dogs eat too fast they swallow too much air and i doesn’t make them much less hungry. it also makes the poop smell like the food.
