Question by Mike C: housetraining puppy problem? I just got my puppy less than a week ago. She was doing good but today she peed times and pooped 6 times in the house. Everytime i walk her she pees in the driveway and cries to go inside and then 20 minutes later she shits in the house. when i walk her she wont walk in front of me and she trips me. Its so annoying. please give me an easy way to teach her to shit and pee outside so i dont have to deal with this bs all the time. thanks

Answer by Random Person It just means that she’s trying to get used to the new environment and marking her territory. she’ll get used to you soon. My dog did the exact same thing as yours when he was a puppy

1 She is a puppy this is to be expected occasionally. #2 You have only had her less than a week. That isn’t near enough time to get a puppy trained completely. & #3 You should not have gotten a puppy in the first place if you don’t have the patience to work with her.
Having a new puppy takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. Teaching them what they need to know is not going to happen in one or two weeks.
Try to see things from your puppy’s perspective: she is still a baby, in a new environment, is probably scared and confused.
Consistency is the key, take her out at the same time every day and stick to a schedule. Lay down some newspaper for her to “go” inside the house, until she gets the hang of going outside. There will be accidents, several of them, it is just part of the training process.
I am a firm believer in kenneling your dog at night. Most dogs will not “go” in their kennel and this helps with the potty training process.
Once you get your dog potty trained, then you can work on walking her.
It takes time, take it easy on the poor pup, she is just learning.
First of all, it’s obvious you’re angry and that’s not fair to a baby puppy. If you don’t have the patience to handle training her, find her another home and get an older dog that’s already trained.
If you pay attention to the following, training will be easy. Puppies need to be taken out on 3 occassions. 1) After they sleep. 2) After they play. 3) After they eat.
When you take her out, carry her, put her on the grass and tell her “go pee-pee” (or whatever phrase you choose), when she goes, praise her and pick her up and take her back in the house. NEVER turn potty time into play time. If she doesn’t go in a reasonable period, pick her up bring her back in the house and then take her out again in a few minutes. IF she goes in the house NEVER scold her – praise works better then punishment, that’s why you need to praise her when she goes.
If you can’t keep from getting mad at the innocent puppy, find her another home with someone more patient. It’s not normal to be so angry with a puppy you’ve had less than a week, I hope you don’t abuse her. You really shouldn’t have a puppy, the things you say are bad.
