clicker does work. whenever your dog does something good, give it a treat, while youre giving it the treat, click the clicker. continue this for a little over a week, you’ll get to the point to where you can just click it and dont have to give them a treat.

clicker definately works
I have a 5 month old puppy, I got him a month ago. Using the clicker training he knows his name, to sit on command and to lay down, to stay and to come. The clicker is really good. I don’t want to sound like a broadcaster or something for it, but really it worked well. And it’s not like I have a lot of time. I am a full time student but he learned this fairly quickly. After you do clicker training reinforce what you teach her everyday, without the clicker for a little while so she knows that she does it to your command, not just to the sound of the clicker so she can get a treat. That was a problem for my dog for a little while, he would just see the clicker and automatically sit down, then lay. Mix it up once she responds to the clicker well. I was using it constantly and it didn’t work out well. Really though it is a good way to train, and extremely simple. Good luck!!
You have to be very specific with clicker training, but it works fantastically. It also helps build the bond between you and your dog, and helps them think for themselves as well. I love watching dogs work out what the heck it is you want!
Definitely do some reading and watch some videos on clicker training to figure out how it’s done. Then practice a lot and have fun!
