Well, I wouldnt give him the dogfood on the shelfs right now considering all those recalls. Basically like a human being, he needs nutritional food thats healthy. Dont make your own food for him unless you know what your doing. Dont give him human food and things not meant for dogs. Sometimes they cant properly digest it and have to undergo surgery or become really sick either way. Id consult a proper vet first tho. And daily excercise and rewards for being good…

It all really depends on the breed…
But most dogs will get nutrients out of meat. Protien will help them become strong. Food from the shelves is a risk, but most are correct and will include ALOT of nutrients. You can also get vitamin pills from a Vet, to crunch up in the food. Or, you can get oils to put in the food, for a healthy coat.
