Question by alysiama86: My Boxer puppy is sleeping a lot. Is this normal? I feel like an over-paranoid mother! My 7 weeks old boxer puppy sleeps most of the day. It’s like, she is awake for an hour, then sleeps for an hour, sometimes longer! She DEFINITELY is sleeping more than she is awake. Is that normal? She has only been home with me for 3 days.

yes its perfectly normal. she is a baby and will sleep a lot. my dog when she was a puppy used to play with me with then sleep, then wake up again for a bit then go back to sleep. its normal. if shes not eating and doesnt want to play when shes awake then theres something wrong.

Yes it’s normal puppies get worn out quick and it is healthy to sleep some. Kinda like babies.
Puppies are just like babies in that they sleep most of the day, i find that boxers too are generally more laid back, so yes this is completly normal!
