Question by Ansley: Maximizing Profit MATH HELP!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!?
I don’t understand: We had a sub today…. 2nd day of school….greattt
The International Canine Academy raises and trains Siberian sled dogs and dancing French poodles. Breeders cab supply the ICA with at most 60 poodles and 35 huskies each year. Each poodle eats 1 lb/day of food and each sled dog eats 3 lb/day. ICA food supplies are restricted to at most 135 lb/day. A poodle requires 400 hr/yr. training, while a sled dog requires 300 hr/yr. The academy restricts training time to more than 27,000 hr/year. How many of each kind of dog should the ICA breed in order to maximize the profit? Find the maximum yearly ICA profit if each poodle sells for $ 200 and each sled dog sells for $ 180.

Best answer:

Answer by ranjankar
x + 3y = 135
400x + 300y = 27000
4x + 3y = 270

3x = 135
x = 45
y = 30

ANSWER = 45 poodles 30 sled dogs.
Profit = 45X200 = 9000 + 30 X180 = 5400 = 14400 $
