I took my dog when I was 12, my mum did come along with me, but cause she had already been to many with our other dogs she thought it time I learnt for my self, and the dog was bought for me so ultimately he was my responsibility. Just ring ahead and double check with them that its ok
Please show this to your mom. Your mom needs to go as well, and learn how to train the dog. She’s going to have this dog once you move out, so she best go with you to every class.
It would probably depend on the individual class. You can always call them if you have a number to see what their rules are. I know of a few classes in my city that let anyone bring their dog as long as they’re over 13.
You’d have to ask the place that you are going. I had my dog at Petsmart puppy classes last summer and there were teens there. I think it would be great for you to get that experience and learn how to train your dog.
Most places don’t really care as long as you are the owner of the dog and old enough to have control over the dog and handle him. 15 should be old enough. I think I did my first dog class when I was about 17 or so and no one even asked how old I was. It should be fine. Good luck!
I’d say yes if you were interested in training at the club I go to. I’ve taught younger kids before. They are good students and work very hard with their pets. Since you can’t drive, you’re going to have to get your mom to take you. And she will most likely need to sign for your approval in the class. But there no reason you can’t train your dog. You need to speak to the class instruction and make sure they are comfortable with your dog and you in the class. You don’t want a run in with an aggressive incident. Good luck and have fun. Fry
Most OB schools allow youngsters to handle the dogs but some trainers would prefer adults to handle if the dog is proven to be hard to handle or is too much of a big dog for a little kid to handle. Usually kids with smaller dogs, they wouldn’t mind. I started when I around your age too my dog was a puppy then. But for your info, one of your parents has got to be there to supervise you & the dog.

No, you can’t. But ask the instructor if your mom can sign a paper to allow you to go. I doubt it will work but it’s worth a chance.

My daughter was already competing in obedience with her dog when she was 15 years old.
I’m sure they’ll take you.

You are in luck. Petco is not really dog training, so I do not think they will have an age limit.
Where I train you do need to be 16, but she would make exceptions for the right person.
